Orang Utan Island is only accessible by 15-20 minutes boat ride from the near lakeside resort - Bukit Merah Laketown Resort. Visitors are advisable to arrive at least 15 minutes earlier from the departure time.

Orang Utan Island is welcome every time. During the wet season, it is advisable for visitors to bring an umbrella and raincoat, unless you enjoy playing with the rain and getting wet.

Due to bad weather, the boat trips will canceled until the weather is safe to depart to the island.

During dry season, the lake may dry and this may cause to temporarily close of the island. Please contact us to check the water levels too.
